The Game Awards x Twitter
Impact
The partnership positioned Twitter at the center of gaming's biggest night, driving real-time conversation and connecting the global gaming community around a shared live cultural moment.
Case Study
For the Gaming Tweet Awards, X (formerly Twitter) set out to transform an online conversation into a cultural moment that celebrated the passion and creativity of the @TwitterGaming community.
I led the creative development of an integrated campaign that surprised five finalists with an all-expenses-paid trip to The Game Awards in Los Angeles, where they discovered live whether their post had been named Best Gaming Tweet of the Year. To elevate each nominee's story, we transformed their original tweets into high-energy animated collages, blending recognizable game worlds with an intentionally overstimulated visual style that reflected the energy of gaming culture and the platform itself.
The campaign film premiered on @TwitterGaming and was simultaneously livestreamed on Twitch, extending the experience to an audience of more than 45 million viewers.
The creative vision extended beyond digital into the live event, where every touchpoint reinforced the campaign narrative. A custom-designed levitating trophy installation showcased each nominee's animated Tweet artwork, while a series of thoughtfully curated swag kits delivered a premium, community-first experience from announcement through event day. The result was a seamless brand experience that connected digital storytelling with memorable real-world engagement.
